Breakfast at Wimby/NTC
Whites are not required for play at Nelson Tennis Club (NTC), but it was the fashion of the day on Sunday morning [July 8] when the Club held its annual "Breakfast at Wimbledon" event. Nelson Tennis Club gets funding for new multi-sport complex
This new location is made possible by a partnership with School District #8 and a Recreation Infrastructure Grant from Columbia Basin Trust of $126,000. The new court surfaces will be fantastic to play on, and the new location will allow for tennis longer into the fall season.

Martin, Stinson win doubles title at West Kootenay Open
Nelson’s Matt Martin and Ron Stinson won the men’s doubles title during the West Kootenay Open on Sunday at the Nelson Tennis Club. Forty-two players from Nelson, Calgary, Vancouver, Fernie, Cranbrook, Creston, Trail and Grand Forks took part in the three-day tournament.
