Max Wong
Max started playing tennis with his dad in the summers when he was 14. He didn’t understand how to hit through the ball, but sure enjoyed running around a lot. Max started playing quite a bit while on his University tennis team which kicked off a lifelong journey of hitting a little fuzzy yellow ball over a net and yelling things when expectations didn’t meet reality.Funny and humble, Max is the three-time defending Nelson Tennis Club champion, West Kootenay Open champion and actively participates in tournaments around BC.
He has coached at both the Calgary Tennis Club and the Osten & Victor Alberta Tennis Centre. Since moving to Nelson, Max has continued being a local tennis addict, and is always happy to see people coming/returning to the sport that has given him so much.
